Rab Black Downpour Plus 2.0 Pants

Our Downpour Plus 2.0 Pants are comfortable, packable waterproof shell legwear for hill walking and scrambling in changeable conditions.

A regular fit with full-length AquaGuard leg zips means you can pull them on over bulky walking boots the moment the weather turns. An internal top popper then allows you to vent fast if conditions become excessively warm or humid. Weather protection is provided by lightweight but durable recycled Pertex Shield with a PFC-free DWR treatment. With 2.5 layers, it is softer and more supple than a traditional three-layer shell, making it extremely comfortable to wear, as well as lightweight and compact when strapped to your pack or stowed in a pocket.

Breathable, waterproof and windproof, with an articulated knee, a half-elasticated waist and a drawcord-adjustable hem, this is an easy-carry pant for a wide range of mountain activities.

Pertex Shield Fabric:

Pertex Shield delivers lightweight and packable protection whilst remaining highly breathable. Designed for intense mountain pursuits where weight and breathability are key, Pertex Shield fabrics allow you to move fast and stay comfortable. The versatile 2, 2.5 and 3-layer constructions combine lightweight face fabrics with waterproof, windproof and breathable membranes. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish applied to the face fabric sheds rain and snow, which helps to maintain breathability.

    "WE ARE THE MOUNTAIN PEOPLE"

Rab is a United Kingdom mountaineering clothing and camping equipment manufacturer and supplier.

The company was founded in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, by mountaineer Rab Carrington. Their story began in 1981 in the attic of a small, terraced house in Sheffield where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Hand-stitched and devised with his own ingenious eye, Rab's experience from years spent in the mountains was apparent in his designs, and soon there was popular demand from Rab's friends and the growing local climbing community.

But things didn't stop there. Word soon spread, and the Sheffield attic became a factory floor, creating sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide. Now, decades later, those honest, hard-wearing designs can be found all over the world; wherever adventurous individuals face up to the elements. From Himalayan peaks to cold, crisp evenings around a camp fire.
