Leki Khumbu Lite Set of 2 Walking Poles

The Leki Khumbu Lite Trekking Pole (formerly called the Leki CorkLite) is a great choice for walkers and hikers of lighter build needing a pole that is strong and durable without unnecessary weight. The component materials and features are selected for longevity and ease of use over all-out comfort and extreme low weight, making the Khumbu an ideal long-term companion if an Ultralite pole is right for you. A combination of top quality aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with an edgeless Aergon CorTec grip and Leki's new SpeedLock+ locking makes the Khumbu efficient, hardwearing and versatile in use.

SpeedLock+ is a lighter, smaller evolution of the Leki SpeedLock (also known as SpeedLock 1), their original external locking mechanism. Adjustment is as quick and simple as flicking a lever and with a holding force of over 70kg it's ready to be relied upon throughout a long day trekking.

Leki's ergonomic Aergon grip shape makes all-day use comfortable too. You'll never find a corner, no matter where you hold it and the cork/rubber composite of CorTec is tactile but tough, with vent holes to keep your hand drier in summer. A hardwearing strap and carbide Flex Tip complete the ensemble, ensuring quality from end to end.

A sturdy pole for users of lighter build on all kinds of walking and trekking journeys, the Leki Khumbu Lite was made to make the long haul more comfortable.

  • ABOUT LEKI

LEKI Lenhart GmbH was a spin off from the wood processing plant of Karl Lenhart created in Dettingen under Teck in 1948, which produced the wooden letters for lettering used by bakeries or butchers.

LEKI's unique development started as a result of the founders' personal dissatisfaction: Karl Lenhart, an avid skier himself, was less than impressed by the quality and functionality of the ski poles of the time. Therefore, he used his own machine park to manufacture grips and baskets for skiing poles. These went into mass production in the 60s. On the other hand, Lenhart was familiar with aluminium and composite processing on account of his aircraft manufacturing experience. In 1970, he used these raw materials to produce his first ski poles to be sold under the LEKI brand, which stands for the owners and the company headquarters, i.e. Lenhart in Kirchheim.
